My favorite TV shows of the 90's

Lately I've had a crush-in with reruns of my favorite TV series and I will try to break them down quickly. Oh, sweet 90's nostalgia! Here we go:

  • As far as I can remember, my first ever "loved" TV series was Felicity.
This show ran for four seasons and is one of the most realistic shows about growing up & University life. The main character, Felicity (played by Kerri Russel) is so funny and relatable. If you have never seen it, I'd recommend it for a rainy afternoon, it will brighten your mood in a second! :)

  • One of the biggest (in terms of watched reruns) influences on my teen years had Dawson's Creek.
I absolutely disliked Dawson, but I was in awe of the other characters: especially Pacey (Joshua Jackson), Joey (Katie Holmes), Jen (Michelle Williams), Jack (Kerr Smith) and Audrey (Busy Phillips).

This show had a good balance of  comedy, drama and a great soundtrack. The main character and main protagnoist, Dawson Leery, was obsessed with movies and platonically sharing his bed with the girl down the creek - hence it's name.
The whole series was filmed in Wilmington, North Carolina and captured beautiful landscapes.
The Seattle Times declared it the best show of the 1997-1998 season and I must agree. Still have all the box sets in my DVD collection and like watching them if I can't sleep in the middle of the night.
  • Ally Mc'BealProbably the most neurotic and funny lawyer on the screens in the 90's. Also, Lucy Liu played an amazing counterpart role :) She worked in a law firm with really funny toilet run-ins. If you don't know what I mean, go on, watch it! It's worth it!

  • My biggest obsession after Dawson's Creek was Charmed.
The three witches (Piper, Prue and Phoebe plus later on, Paige), who had different magic powers and fighted various demons and bad guys. I remember that I was so sad when Prue died. I didn't like Page as much and didn't watch a lot after the 5th season. Overall, it's one of the best magic related tv series one can watch!
If I could have one of the magical powers of the sisters', it would be Prue's Telekinesis: to move objects with your thoughts. That would be quite handy, wouldn't it! ;) Which one would you pick? Who was your favorite sister?

Now I'm curious about you: Which was your favorite TV shows in the 90's?
Let me know in the comments down below! :)

(P.S.: Good luck Argentina, I'll keep my fingers crossed for you tonight!)

Visual Inspo

These days I've been down and tackling a food allergy - at least I started doing so by making doctor's appointments, but it's a long way down the road ... Anyone else having a histamine intolerance? Makes my love for food kind of difficult lately :/ Eh, but there are worse things in life, right!

When I wasn't barbecuing at my mum's (she got new garden furniture, it looks amazing) or watching OiTNB episodes, I was glued to my desk computer & laptop due to studying AutoCAD. This software is one of the most important ones in architcture&interior design, I am happy to take on a challenge and learn it all by myself. Learning a new software is one of those pastimes I really enjoy wholeheartedly. Maybe I have got that from my mum, who is a software programmer. :D

After all those line and circle drawing, 3D modeling and what not, it's nice to get some visuals on the eyes, which are illustrations or beautiful photography. Some are witty, some or thought provoking and others are just damn brilliant.

Here are my favorites of this week:

Semester's over & Summer's here

irecallthepushmorethanthefall.tumblr.com

Hello there, I'm still aliiive!

Sorry for the long blog break, but these last exams of the Summer semester were crazy in terms of quantity of literature and professor demands ... Unfortunately, I didn't pass all of them and have to take some of them again in January next semester, but hey! I tried my best!

Last weekend I spent watching all my time studying & watching the Glastonbury Festival live stream from BBC online. Did anyone else do that? The 1975 did such a great show, I was so proud of them. I saw them some years ago in a small club and I am so happy for their big success. Lykke Li's performance was also one of my favorite, as well as Lana del Rey's, HAIM's and Jack White's shows.

Now it's time to enjoy a few little things I had no time to do for the past few weeks, like ...
- meeting old friends and chatting the nights away
- bingewatching Orange is The New Black season 2 with my boyfriend (SO obsessed with this show!!)
- strolling around in my favorite park without study cards in my hands
- swimming, going to exhibitions and concerts
- reading books and magazines not related to my studies / no study literature for some time
- enjoy living on my own in the shared flat appartment (both my roommates are from Germany, Munich. They'll stay with their parents for the whole Summer, so I got all the space to myself ... yay!)

Next week I have a "one day internship" with a neuropsychologist and I am extremely excited about that. My interests in psychology are so vast, which is not very helpful for choosing my future Masters or PHD education. As long as I am not done with my Bachelor degree, I will not worry too much, though. There's still a lot of life experiences out there to catch up with :)

P.S.: Am I the only one being extremely careful to spell correctly in my text messages? It takes me way longer than my younger sister, who just writes without thinking about commas or the spelling of certain words...
